JPen John Patrick Engineering Limited has recently received its CE Mark Accreditation.
In case you aren’t aware, structural steelwork delivered to site after 1st July 2014 has to be CE marked. Failure to comply with this requirement, which will be enforced by weights & measures authorities, can result in fines and even criminal penalties for contractors and suppliers alike.
CE Accreditation requires adherence to a Factory Production Control System plus very stringent control of weld procedures and welder qualifications. There is also a mandatory requirement for non-destructive testing of 10% of welds.
JPen was already working to a similar system, which meant that our achievement of the standard in just over 2 months was straightforward. Please get in touch if you have any questions on CE Marking, we’ll be delighted to help. You can call us on 0115 9440360 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
